What the Talks Are About
Every Authentik session is grounded in our lived experiences, told through immersive, engaging stories. These are real experiences, with real evidence, and gives our audiences a clear understanding of the trends already reshaping how organizations work. Our keynotes are based on a combined 5 decades of experiences from the front lines of public safety to the far corners of the globe.
The range in stories and topics is deliberate. One room needs to hear what leadership genuinely asks of a person, and what it gives back. Another needs a clear read on what AI and other pending disruptions will mean, not only for their sector but for the lives of the people they care about, and where the opportunity exists inside that change. Another wants the lessons that only turn up when a person is pushed to the edge a long way from home: travelling the world, finding a path back to healing in the middle of the Amazon rainforest, or navigating massive loss (and finding out how to rebuild). Different rooms need different things, but our keynotes share a general theme: When the thing nobody planned for arrives, it is not the plan or the technology or the policy binder that carries an organization through. It is the people.
That is the axiom Authentik is built on. People matter. It is the value underneath every keynote we deliver and the reason we deliver them.

Who's Speaking
Craig Whitton, M.Sc.
Craig is a leadership consultant and higher education administrator focused on disruption, crisis response, behaviour management and organizational resilience. Over more than twenty years inside large public institutions he has worked where risk, people and difficult leadership decisions meet, and he brings that experience to a room in plain, practical terms.
He is Director of Student Affairs at North Island College, where he chairs the Behavioural Intervention Team. Earlier he built one of the first institution-wide restorative justice based student conduct systems at a Canadian post-secondary, which is still in use today, and spent over seven years in frontline residence life and emergency response at the University of Alberta. He holds an MSc in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management from the University of Leicester.
He is an award-winning speaker with multiple “Best Of” presentation honours, the RLPA’s Josie Lamothe Memorial Award and NWACUHO’s David B. Stephen Award for Distinguished Service. His current work explores what unidentified anomalous phenomena and other major disruptors mean for public trust, through Canadians for Disclosure and The Visible College. Audiences do not usually expect that part.
Chris Fukushima
Chris brings a blend of clarity, emotional intelligence and courageous authenticity to his work. Whether he is leading a department, coaching a team or designing conflict resolution systems, the focus is the same: resilience, empowerment and trust.
His leadership style is collaborative and rooted in relationships. He helps teams navigate ambiguity, challenge the status quo, and move toward change with curiosity and confidence rather than alarm.
He is a dreamer and a doer, someone who asks “why not?” and then delivers the real-world result that answers the question.

Booking a session
Keynote sessions start at $3000. Every one is scoped to the room, because a half-day on a campus and a conference keynote are not the same job, so tell us about the event, the audience and the slot you need to fill. We assess every session we deliver and are happy to share the results with you afterwards.
